John is licensed in personal lines insurance.  John has been a licensed agent at Absolute Insurance since 2018.  

John graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Human Development.  John grew up in Des Moines and currently lives in Ankeny with his wife Madison and his daughter Tilly Jo.  John wrestled at Iowa State and is the head wrestling coach at Waukee High School.  John is one of the most decorated high school wrestlers in the state of Iowa.  He finished his high school career at Roosevelt with a perfect record of 168-0, becoming just the sixth wrestler all-time in the state of Iowa to accomplish this feat.

John likes to spend as much time with his family as possible, go to movies when he gets a chance, and play basketball in his spare time.  Family is one of the most important things for John and he has lunch with his mother at least once a week.  When John is not working, he also enjoys coaching at Waukee High School.  Interacting with the wrestlers and watching them improve and complete couldn't make him any happier.
