John has been a licensed agent at Absolute Insurance since 2018, licensed in personal lines insurance. He graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Human Development. John grew up in Des Moines and now lives in Ankeny with his wife, Madison, and their daughter, Tilly Jo. He wrestled at Iowa State and is the head wrestling coach at Waukee High School, and he is one of the most decorated high school wrestlers in Iowa history: he finished his career at Roosevelt with a perfect 168-0 record, becoming just the sixth wrestler in state history to accomplish that. John likes to spend as much time with his family as possible, catch a movie when he can, and play basketball in his spare time. Family matters deeply to him, and he has lunch with his mother at least once a week. Away from the office he loves coaching at Waukee, where watching his wrestlers improve is one of his greatest joys.
